Background Information

The specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery encompasses the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects affecting the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. After four years of dental education, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon will spend up to six years completing their surgical training within the field of medicine, surgery, and anesthesiology.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons frequently work alongside dentists and other specialists including orthodontists, prosthodontists, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, ENT surgeons, neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, and professionals allied to medicine.

Over the last 26 years, we have developed a solid reputation for quality patient care. At Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Palm Beaches, Dr. Wolfrom practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from the extraction of wisdom teeth, facial aesthetic surgery, treating misaligned jaws, removing tumors and cysts of the jaws and mouth, and performing dental implant surgery.

We are committed to continual education and learning. Dr. Wolfrom frequently attends lectures, meetings, and conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern oral surgery office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art care to our patients. Also, being members and officers of various professional oral surgery and dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

At Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Palm Beaches, we are utilizing the most recent technological advancements in our office with 3D CT imaging. This data greatly assists Dr. Wolfrom in evaluating our patients in treatment planning for implants, bone grafting, impacted teeth, extractions, TMJ and pathology.
