Initial Consultation

A consultation appointment will explain your diagnosis and treatment options.  Occasionally, surgery can be performed the same day.  All patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please provide the following information at the time of your consultation:

  • A list of all medications, allergies, and medical conditions.
  • A list of your physicians and their phone numbers.
  • Any dental X-rays, CT scans, or MRI scans if applicable.
  • Any dental or medical insurance information.

Please inform Dr. Wolfrom prior to surgery if you have any medical conditions that may be of concern (i.e, artificial heart valves and joints, a history of a heart attack or chest pain, etc.).  Also let us know if you are taking any medications.  Blood thinners can cause increased and prolonged bleeding from your oral surgery.  These drugs include but are not limited to Aspirin, Plavix, Coumadin, Eliquis, Pradaxa or Effient.  If you are taking medications for osteoporosis or chemotherapy, they can cause delayed and prolonged healing issues.  These include but are not limited to Fosamax, Actonel, Boniva, Zometa, Prolia, Brilinta and Xgeva.
